The articles describes two engraved gems from Cambodia. The first is a rock crystal perforated stamp-seal with a convex back- a distinctive type which has been found at Oc Eo and elsewhere in Southeast Asia. The surface is engraved with a makara and it is tentatively dated to the 7th century AD or later. The second gem, set in a large gold ring, is a flat dark brown sard or onyx ringstone engraved with a gana or Ganesha/ horse combination and probably dates to about the 9th ot 10th century AD. The Seals illustrate motifs which are found on the Khmer stone lintels in Cambodia and Thailand.
